Al-Taloof Spoerts Centre, Al-Jubail – The Desert Tiger Taekwondo (DTT) once again kicked high and garnered awards in the recently concluded “The 1st WOMA-USA KSA Open Invitational Martial Arts Tournament for 2008 Battle of the Year” last April 11, 2008.
The strong campaign of DTT was slimmed down when the DTT forced to default the remaining set of games due to time travel from Jubail to Khobar that will require in traveling and the limited hours of the vehicle service they need to comply.

Despite of these, the small entry of DTT is considerable a gigantic success. Sabum Chito Q. Velez wishes to convey his deepest thanks to all friends who supported and helped DTT prior to the tournament. DTT Founder and Chief Instructor Sabum nim Greg C. Sugano would like to extend his heartfelt appreciation to JAL Management for the continued support they are giving to the club, and to friends of DTT who supported the club’s participation a big success.
Jonathan P. Mamitag won the championship in Individual Poomsee Category / Brown Belt Division. Jojo displayed his winning form in executing the arts of Takewondo, making him to receive the Gold Medal. On the other hand, Crizaldy C. Banquil showed the legacy of DTT when he placed 2nd Runner Up in the tournament. Zaldy received Bronze Medal on the same category and division. Adding feather in the cap is Arnel P. Sendon for bagging the 2nd place in Black Belt Division.
