DTT–INDUCTION OF OFFICERS 2009-10 & RECOGNITION CEREMONY

“The rank doesn’t make the man. It’s the man that makes the rank.”

This is the perplexing statement made by Kyoshi Dominador N. Caballero Jr. that made every listener concurred during the Desert Tiger Taekwondo Martial Arts Club (DTT) Induction of New Officers and Recognition of New Members last May 14, 2009.The program was attended by DTT’s brothers in Martial Arts headed by no less than the two of WOMA’s top men. WOMA-Saudi Arabia President Kyoshi Jun N. Caballero and WOMA-International President Shihan Rey V. Diaz had graced the occasion that marked as important and inspirational event among the members and friends of DTT.
Every year, DTT is electing new set of officers to keep the club well organized and preserve the formality, legitimacy and legacy. Kyoshi Jun Caballero have presided the oath taking of the new officers. The following are the 2009 – 2010 DTT Officers:

  • Club Advisers - Boosabum Chito Q. Velez & Boosabum Modesto I. Eleda Jr.
On the other hand, the DTT Founder and Head Instructor Sabum nim Greg C. Sugano handed over the Certificate of Membership to the new DTT members Adrian A. Micua and Marlon B. Dela Pena and Certificates of Appreciation were given to the distinguished guests. Sabum nim Greg C. Sugano received also a Taekwondo Instructor International Diploma and special awards for Black Belt Certificate, 5th Dan Munchaku.
DTT Jins Boosabum Chito Q. Velez, Boosabum Modesto I. Eleda and Boosabum Arnel P. Sendon received also a Taekwondo Instructor International Diploma and WOMA- USA Lifetime Membership Certificate awarded to Boosabum Arnel P. Sendon.

Various Taekwondo Poomse, amazing kicks for board breaking and Combat demonstrations were prepared and well executed by DTT practitioners, while the distinguished guests have unselfishly shared some Inspirational Messages and performed the astounding skills and expertise in Martial Arts which the audience had applauded in their surprise.

DTT Founder and Head Instructor Sabum nim Greg C. Sugano is overwhelmed in the outcome of the occasion and very thankful for its big success. “I would like to convey my heartfelt Gratitude and warm Congratulations to every one for the excellent performance and job well done during the occasion. Also, I would like to extend my warmest thanks to our guests headed by Shihan Rey V. Diaz and Kyoshi Dominador N. Caballero Jr., the Presidents of WOMA-International and WOMA-Saudi Arabia respectively, for the time and support they are always giving on DTT. And of course, this occasion will never be complete without the unwavering assistance and unceasing guidance from the Founder and the Head Master of WOMA, Prof. Mohammad I. Tianero.”
DTT would like to thank Sensei Elmer Dela Cruz, the Founder of El-Shotokan-Karatedo. The TAECOJUKA headed by its founder & Instructor Sabum nim Romy Aguilar, Adiviser & Instructor Sensei Robert Vinuya, Combat Kung Fu Society’s Instructor Shigung Rolly Tiozon, Sifu Abduillah De Guzamn and Shifu Edwin Tanggaro. Also to Sensei Edwin Vergara of OSKA-Falcon Gym, Kyoshi Benjamin V. Varilla of OSKA-PHICKAJU and Shihan Roelito C. Pallones from Eagle Claw.
With the induction of new officers of DTT, the club is optimistic and looking forward for more fruitful, meaningful and successful upcoming events that will benefit, promote and profit the Desert Tiger Taekwondo Martial Arts Club.
